How is Second Nature different from long-lasting semi-permanent colors?

Second Nature is a no-lift permanent color. It is generally mixed with 20 volume developer for a more permanent color result. However, for wearability up to 24 shampoos like a long-lasting semi-permanent color, mix it with 10-volume developer.

Will Second Nature cover gray hair?

Yes, Second Nature is an excellent choice to cover gray. Choose a color at the desired Level and tone. Mix with equal parts of 20 volume developer and process up to 45 minutes.

Can I use Second Nature for low-lights?

Second Nature can create beautiful natural-looking low-lights with excellent wearability. Try this formula:

  • 1 1/2 oz. 136 Light Neutral Blonde
  • 1/2 oz. 156 Light Golden Brown
  • 2 oz. 20 volume developer

How do I achieve a tintback with Second Nature?

Mix:

  • 1 oz. 137N Dark Natural Blonde
  • 1/2 oz. 141RO Strawberry Blonde
  • 1/2 oz. 156G Light Golden Brown
  • 2 oz. 10 volume developer

Apply formula to the lightened pieces of the hair. Strand test every 5 minutes until desired result is achieved.

If I have a result that is too warm, how can I cool or drab the formula?

Add 1/2 oz. of a violet based color to the formula at the same or similar Level.
