CLIENT SITUATION: This client loves her natural dark hair color, but wants to add fashionable red tones overall and revitalize her faded highlights.

DEMI SOLUTION: The deposit-only color will add deep red undertones to natural dark hair, while creating lustrous red color on the faded highlights. The result is rich, vibrant multi-dimensional color with healthy shine.

MODEL TECHNIQUES

Step 1: Section large front fringe panel into a triangle shape, extending just beyond each temple. Working horizontally, weave foils, skipping about 1/2 inch between each foil.

Foiling Formula: Clairol Professional BW2 mixed with 10-volume developer.

Step 2: At each side of head, using top point of fringe triangle as a guide, section hair in zigzag parting to top point at back of head. Alternating from the different points, from front of face toward back of head at each side, slice 2 diagonal back-to-back foils. You will have about 6 foils on each side.

Step 3: Lighten to Red-Orange stage. Rinse, shampoo, condition.

OVERLAY FORMULA: Demi permanente 4R, Light Red Brown, mixed with equal part demi permanente developer. Apply evenly throughout towel-dried hair. Time for 30 minutes. Rinse, shampoo, condition.
