PLATINUM BLONDE
Even darker hair can go platinum. The secret is in the lightening formulas. This technique uses 7th Stage for lift and incorporates a trio of formulas to add rich dimension—without foregoing the drama of platinum blonde.

Formula A
2 oz. Clairol Professional 7th Stage
+ 3 Lightening Activators
+ 4 oz. Pure White 30-volume
+ 3 Lightening Activators
+ 4 oz. Pure White 30-volume
Formula B
2 oz. Clairol Professional 7th Stage
+ 1 Lightening Activator
+ 4 oz. Pure White 20-volume
+ 1 Lightening Activator
+ 4 oz. Pure White 20-volume
Formula C
1 oz. Clairol Professional BW2
+ 2 oz. Pure White 20-volume
+ 2 oz. Pure White 20-volume
STYLE

Create 4 sections by splitting the hair down the middle and then splitting from the top of one ear to the top of the other ear. Starting at one of the back sections, apply Formula A a ½ inch away from the roots and to the ends. Take ¼-inch partings to ensure even saturation. Continue this application on the other three sections and process for 20 minutes.

Starting at the same back section as step 1, apply Formula B to the roots. Take ¼-inch partings to ensure even saturation. Continue this application on the other three sections. Process for an additional 30 minutes. Shampoo and condition.

Towel-dry the hair and section according to the natural part. Take ½-inch slices and apply Formula C in foils. Skip a ½ inch between each section. You should end up with 8 to 10 foils depending on the desired amount of lightness. Process for 20 minutes at room temperature. Shampoo and condition with Shimmer Lights Blonde & Silver.
